home

it was brentwood days...need i say more?

tom in his element, cooking 1400 hot dogs
we handed them out along the parade route...

jack was our taste tester

we visited brentwood days later that evening...

i think this kid rode the cars a gazillion times!

louie and me on the bumper cars

sam on the bumper cars...decked out after his football game

meet woody...our newest addition.
sam won him at brentwood days.
sadly, when i got up monday morning, woody was belly up...

brentwood days is one of those times where i am so happy that we're following
mary engelbreit's motto "bloom where you're planted."

i love this place. i love brentwood days. you can't walk five feet without seeing someone you know. which can be a very good thing when you lose your 64 year old father amongst all of the crowd...thankfully i found him...by the beer tent with some old friends.

i loved watching the boys hang with their friends, liked they owned the carnival. i loved watching jack eat cotton candy. and tom's beaming face as everyone talked about the float that handed out free hot dogs again. it makes my heart so happy.

...
on sunday, we visited one of the most breathtaking sights in st.louis...

one flag for each person killed on 9.11.01

art hill was a sight to behold.

again, sometimes, there are no words...

brothers on their way home.
