l-o-v-e

how do you spell love?
well, in the magee household, we spell it p-i-z-z-a!
incredible pizza, to be exact!
our schedules have been crazy lately and we've been doing a lot of coming and going and missing each other until our heads hit the pillow each night.
so, on our saturday night together, tom decided it would be fun to surprise the boys with a trip to incredible pizza instead of a quiet pre-valentine's date night.
the boys were ecstatic.
it's your typical kid place...pizza/nachos/salad/cinnamon rolls/pretty much any type of junk food you can think of in a buffet attached to a huge game room.
after sam and louie ate their weight in pizza, nachos, and desserts, we ventured into the game room.

they got one game in. and a second.
and then...
the smoke alarms started going off. people were running. kids were crying.
lights were flashing.
thankfully, it was a false alarm.
but, it shut all of the games down...

easiest way to keep track of jack...
we waited for over twenty minutes...
but, no games and no-nap jack was getting restless.
which lead to the ending highlight pictured...

sam and louie are trying their best!

sadly, we think jack would've left the same way if we had depleted our fully loaded game card.

but we got to spend time together. that is what is most important.

i was introduced to the five love languages this weekend and i'm now a fan!
there is a quiz on the website where you can determine your own love language and your significant other can take the quiz too.
it is so enlightening... kind of like when you take a personality quiz for the first time and realize why you are the way you are.
when this philosophy was described to me, i immediately realized that giving or gifts of service would be a big part of my love language. but it turns out, quality time with the ones i love is more important than any act or comment.

so, i guess it is true...
it doesn't matter where you are at any given moment in time,
as long as you're with the ones you love, you are blessed...
even if it involves a game center with no working games.

happy ♥ and pizza day!
