on another note, i've been cleaning out things of my dad's this week. he said he would take one box a week...yeah, i should've known better. anyway, when i was going through one of the boxes, i found this really cool compass. and it got me thinking...how do we know we're going in the right direction? how do we know we're making the right decisions for our kids? how do we make sure our priorities are really our priorities for each day? then i found this quote and it got me thinking...
There are two ways to go about it.
You can take a compass and draw a perfect circle
and make two perfect eyes as neat as can be.
Or you can do it freehand
and have some fun with it.
Like I did.
Give it character.

here's to more freehanded days at the magee household!
remember our adventure to the caves? well, we purchased a kit to grow our own crystals. and our crystals grew into the most delicious rock candy!

so sweet! |
yesterday morning was so nice, relaxed, freehanded.
we spent a few hours at the park.
as the summer winds down, we are trying to get back into the routine of doing homework around the same time every day. surprisingly enough, sam and louie have both managed to read six days a week for at least 30 minutes.
louie just looked down right before i took the picture... he was looking everywhere except his paper. |
sam playing funbrain math arcade! |
we are now off for a few days away. will post pics when we return.
