moments

“We do not remember days, we remember moments.”

Cesare Pavese

a lot of folks have been talking about moments lately...everyone from fellow bloggers to oprah to the principal at my children's school during an assembly on the last day. and every one of those folks has a valid point; we have many moments in life, but it is how we enjoy the experience that makes a difference.

double fisting the oj and milk!

there are moments in life when we are just happy to be a part of them.

on the last day of school, the group of kids...more like a gaggle...i think it's up to 15 or so, venture to the local donut shop for a breakfast celebration! it makes up for all of those days we walk in the rain and snow!

then after school, we enjoyed snow cones and hot dogs! it was raining and cold, so we improvised...

i started this blog entry a few days ago, but we started to have so many moments.
so i let this sit and enjoyed time with the boys.

one year ago this weekend, dad broke his leg...in that moment, i never could have imagined that this is where i would be one year later.

that nose!

jack's christmas gift went up today. gotta love 3rd children!

i firmly believe that the trick is to continue to live in the moment. living in the moment gives us the opportunity to enjoy every second of every day.

i am so thankful for all of the moments with my family this past year.
here's a few from this past weekend...
i love watching the boys do silly things, like throw water balloons at each other...and our new neighbors.
i love attending back to back baseball games.
i love listening to jack talk to dad about playing ball.
i love the smell of pork steaks on the grill.
i love the taste of "adult" arnold palmers...i think it's my go-to drink this summer!!!!
and i love to swing with my littlest man...the sound of his giggle...there are no words...it melts my heart.

may you enjoy all of the moments of this happy summer.
